Just wanted to share my Perry Maxwell Competition from this year. I did not win, but enjoyed creating this layout. Per the Perry Maxwell Society, this was actually a portion of Southern Hills property.

@Craig Snyder I had submitted my entry before you posted yours here, as our first two holes are very similar in orientation. I sent my email to Craig on November 2. I too had two par 5s, though that is where our similarities ended as you were able to get 480 more yards than I could find. I agree with @nv7 it was difficult to make it all fit. I should have done a few more double greens and possibly tees. Pretty unconventional routing for sure, but at least it all fit.
Here's my entry, bit of a struggle to be honest. I tried putting many of the greens next to the river and the routing gets disjointed in spots as a result. Also kudos to those who didn't cop out of finding room for a par 5...
Here's my entry for the 2020 competition. The funny thing about this design is that it was par 5,3,4,4,4,4,4,5.3 until the very end when I realized I had a bunch of different hole combinations without making any other changes. 5,4,4,3,4,5,4,4,3 seemed better. 🤔
2020 edition is now out. Seems like we're working with a pretty tight property
Way late here, but this was the routing I had submitted. As Craig mentioned, the topo was based on I believe the front 9 at Southern Hills, although I wish I knew those ditches and the flat spot in the bottom right corner were water at the time!
Just saw this thread and decided to throw my entry on as well. I strove to adhere to the look and feel of the old school Maxwell plans. I also drew up some green details but those were not allowed for the entry. Would love any feedback.
Nice @Josh. Here's mine
Thanks for sharing @Josh. Love the potential of 2 / 5 green complexes...cool scene.
