PHILOSOPHY of JKD

Having had the opportunity to work with Tom Fazio and the rest of the Fazio Design team for a combined 14 years has provided grounding in a sound and proven golf course design methodology. What we have taken from the multitude of experiences during that time is the basis of our design philosophy moving forward. The list of those priorities can be refined to three major points: Playability, Aesthetics and Details.

 PLAYABILITY FOR ALL

The golf course must be playable for the majority of the membership on a daily basis. The goal to allow the maximum enjoyment of the design by the greatest possible number of members is something we feel is critical in measuring how successful we are on any given project. At the completion of a project, what we strive to achieve is for the better players to feel challenged by the strategic elements of the course, while the average member loves to play the course day in and day out.
