I have enjoyed imagining the routing for Central Park and decided to take my routing and finish it with hole details. I still need to add contour lines, and some finish detail, but other than for my own enjoyment, it has no chance of ever being implemented or seen so I thought I would share it here. If any others have done the same, would love to see what you have done. Here is my Central Park routing and please feel free to change it up and make it more interesting or exciting.

I have been fortunate to play this 9 hole course for over 20 years as my wife's family has a place at Point Chautauqua. I have attempted to figure out the history, I have even contacted the Olmsted Archives as the Point was created by FLO but have failed to figure out who created the course. What really matters to me is that it always stays a golf course as it is a great spot to settle who will make drinks before dinner. It is also the first 9 holes my twin daughters ever played.
In an ideal world I would own this course someday and make changes to make it even more enjoyable/playable. I will post the entire routing below and encourage your input to how to make this small, severely sloped piece of property an even better course. I will post some ground views as well to sho…

Take a stab at routing / designing your own course within a mountain environment. Create a routing plan, add design details / strategy, etc...it's your world.
DESIGN CRITERIA:
18-hole (championship) golf course
Short / par 3 course experience
Clubhouse location
Overnight accommodations
@connoradougherty this is really well thought out. Appreciate all the time you have put into this puzzle. You have gone above and beyond anything I expected anyone to produce. :) My only feedback is with the grading. Being a mountain site and not very suitable for an easy build, don’t be afraid to make some 20-30 foot cuts and fills. You have the power! It’s just dirt, or rock. ;) Keep up the good work!

My 8 year old daughters both made par on hole 8 from the women’s tee a week ago, tying me. I hope it sticks around!!
